Fire Engineering Design, Passive Fire Design and Construction Monitoring
ABOUT THE PROJECT
LFE undertook a performance based fire design for a multi-level apartment development in Lower Hutt, Wellington.
By undertaking a performance based fire design, LFE were able to utilise fire and smoke modelling to remove smoke lobbies entering the vertical safe path from apartments. The removal of smoke lobbies enabled a more manageable movement for occupants and created greater flexibility in the layout of the apartments.
